Presentation of a campaign to reduce food waste
Life FoodPrint project partner team Parpounas Sustainability Consultants presented the campaign to reduce food waste to Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd.
The presentation took place on the occasion of the “Health and Planet Day” on 7 April 2022 as part of the corporate social responsibility activities organised by Grant Thornton Cyprus.
The presentation was made online to all company staff and covered the activities of the Life FoodPrint project
It included statistics regarding food waste in the world, Europe and Cyprus. Various actions that have been implemented as part of the Life FoodPrint project were presented, such as the results of the first survey on food waste in Cyprus, the trainings that have been carried out in schools in collaboration with the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, the Foodprint Calculator, the TV campaign, and the questionnaires that have been carried out online.
The executives of Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd gained significant benefit from the campaign presentation and expressed their interest in further supporting the effort to adopt its objectives.
