Best practices in Cyprus – Ending food waste
In an announcement by the OEB with the partners of the Life – FoodPrint programme, the terms of the competition for rewarding businesses that operate in the hospitality, catering and food service sectors and fall under the economic activities are disclosed: Hotels, Restaurants and Food Processing Businesses.
The aim of the awards is to highlight good practices implemented by businesses in Cyprus to reduce food waste and food waste, to transfer knowledge and know-how between businesses and to reward businesses that through their actions and policies contribute to the reduction of food waste, the more efficient use of raw materials and the modernisation of their production line, by incorporating circular practices.
The announcement of the OEB’s awards with Life – FoodPrint partners also coincides with 29 September, which has been established as the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste).
